Job title: Field Sales Representative Division/Department: Sales Reports to: Customer Manager Overall Responsibility: Overall responsibility for achieving the sales and distribution objectives in the respective region to ensure achievement of Joya business objectives and strategy.
Main responsibilities of Focus Area Targets Achieved See ALL customers as per Master List and/or Route list Count Stock and calculate stock to be ordered Place Order, follow up and confirmed orders Action any Returns and damages Negotiate and implement promotional activities and plans Communicate product range changes etc to Store/Floor Management Monitor target achievement and implement action plans Manage stock levels Utilize deals as negotiated by Clients/Principals Manage the process of sell-in of stock and expiry dates Address Pricing and Delivery Issues Collect money and deal with in accordance with principle's policy and procedure Prospect for new business and open accounts Sell new lines to all stores (min 75%) KPI (Key Performance Indicators): Achievement of targets by customer In store execution excellence Ensuring layouts /planograms and toffee section creation Negotiate additional ad hoc displays Negotiate forward share in store to reflect market share and/or rate of sale Ensure that shelf health is maintained Negotiate and Deliver POS and stock where necessary Monitor and communicate pricing in store Administration Complete customer record cards and ensure properly maintained Complete damages and returns documentation as required Ensure the safe-keeping and maintenance of Company Equipment Complete deposit slips and receipts as required Provide photos of all displays Complete Reports as requested Feedback on competitor activity in the trade Client and Customer Relations Maintain good working relationships at store level with both customer and client Greet Store Management and Staff and be friendly at all times Feedback on customer complaints, queries and requests Adhere to Store Rules and Regulations at all time Minimum Education and/or Work Experience Requirements: Qualification: Grade 12 or equivalent qualification essential Qualification: Tertiary qualification an advantage but not necessary Experience: minimum of 3 years sales and merchandising experience in an FMCG environment Valid Driver's License Previous supervisor experience would be advantageous Skills/Competencies Required: Strong business acumen (numeric and literacy) Networking and marketing skills – Relationships with customers Customer orientation skills Negotiating and influencing skills Emotionally resilient and able to manage stress (Emotional intelligence) Detail Oriented Strong interpersonal skills / respect for people Fast-paced and action oriented If you have not heard back from us within 3 weeks, please consider your application unsuccessful.
