Farm Manager (Cherries)

Minimum requirements for the role:Must have a relevant tertiary qualificationMinimum 5 years Farm Manager experiencePrevious experience on a cherry farm is advantageousMust be highly detail-oriented, and understand the production pressure farmingCapable of working independently and making decisions when necessaryThe successful candidate will be responsible for:Responsible for all farm activities, including planting new trees, pruning, thinning fruit, harvesting, and post-harvest activities.Managing irrigation systems.Leading, motivating, and supervising workers.Performing basic repairs on tractors, sprayers, and other farm infrastructure.Compiling weekly fertilizer and spraying schedules.Coordinating the installation and maintenance of orchard infrastructure.Managing a small caravan park on the farm, including checking in guests when required (reservations are handled by someone else).Please note that subsequent to the screening and shortlisting process, all further communication will be entered into, only with the shortlisted candidates
