THE OPPORTUNITY

IIE Varsity College, Pietermaritzburg campus is seeking appointees in the field of Competing Models of Political Economy to strengthen the teaching and research capabilities in the Faculty of Management Studies.
JOB PURPOSE The primary purpose of this position is the delivery of effective facilitation/lecturing on qualifications and all associated academic activities such as student engagement and support that will promote student success and learning.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS: Lecturing/FacilitationMarkingStudent supportCompetencies Required: Communications skillsOrganisational skillsTime managementMinimum Education Requirements per module: Ideal: A Masters/ Honours Degree in Political Sciences or International Relations.Alternatively: A Master's or Honours degree in a similarly related field such as Public Administration or Social science related field with a background in Political Science up to a third-year degree level.Minimum Work Experience Requirements: Lecturing experience in political science or International RelationsWork experience in the government environment, and a deep understanding of political ideologies and theoriesWorking Conditions: This is an Independent Contractor role.Position is part-time.The IIE's Varsity College is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
