We are seeking a talented and experienced Executive Sous Chef to lead our culinary team and create an extraordinary menu for our new rooftop restaurant. This role is ideal for a culinary professional with a passion for innovative cuisine, strong leadership abilities, and a desire to help shape the identity of a new and exciting dining destination.
Key Responsibilities:
Menu Creation:
Design and develop a creative and diverse menu that reflects the restaurant's sophisticated concept and meets high culinary standards.
Kitchen Management:
Oversee daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, presentation, and quality control.
Team Leadership:
Recruit, train, and manage kitchen staff; foster a positive and efficient work environment.
Cost Control:
Manage food inventory, order supplies, and control costs while maintaining quality standards.
Health & Safety:
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen.
Innovation:
Stay current with culinary trends and techniques; continuously seek ways to improve and innovate the menu and kitchen operations.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Senior Sous Chef or in a similar high-end culinary role.
Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and guide a team.
Expertise in an upmarket/sophisticated kitchen and dining experience
Ability to create and execute high-quality, visually appealing dishes.
Proficiency in POS software and menu cost control procedures.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
