Enrolled Nurse - Medical

To provide age-appropriate patient care according to the nursing scope of practice as defined by the South African Nursing Council (SANC). Primarily responsible for the general care of the patients in the Medical Ward.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

Practice within your scope of practice as an Enrolled Nurse.
Update and maintain quality records within the statutory required retention period through proper identification, filing, storage maintenance and disposition of these records.
Ensure and maintain accurate billings of drugs and consumable items used by individual patients.
Ensure cleanliness and tidiness of the theatre, anaesthetic rooms, and other areas.
Comply with Hospital Policies and Regulations.
Provide safety and quality patient care in the ward.
Attend to patient complaints.
Observe, measure, and record patients' vital statistics and report changes in patients' conditions to RNs and doctors.
Provide physical and emotional support to patients and their families.
