Electrical Foreman

We act for a leading manufacturing company in the Pietermaritzburg area, currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Electrical Foreman to carry out repairs and planned maintenance to all electrical equipment on site.

Key requirements: Electrical Trade TestNTC6 in electrical engineering.Minimum 10 years' experience in a supervisory role. Key responsibilities: Do electrical installation on new equipment on site.Upon sanction approval- Modify and improve existing equipment and to optimize the capacity of such equipment.Ensure the legal compliance of all electrical installations and equipment.Manage a team of electricians, assistants and apprentices.Diagnose and carry out repairs to faulty machinery.Fault find and perform maintenance work on transformers.Distribute the equipment and material to allow the team to perform the assigned activities.Ensure the team adheres to applicable safety standards.Coordinate and check the work carried out by team reporting any deviations to manager.Plan and coordinate the daily work routines of electricians and ensure effective shift cover.Ensure overtime is managed effectively and kept within budget.Order and control of critical spare parts.
Experience on PLC's and Variable Speed drives.Perform standby duties. We welcome all applications from candidates that meet the above set requirements.
