As a Data Engineer, you will: Design and implement cutting-edge data strategies and systems in collaboration with IT, Enterprise Information Management and business teams Build robust infrastructure to handle and automate large volumes of data with precision and efficiency Enhance and maintain data pipelines and architectures to support cross-functional teams Deliver transformative visual analytics solutions (e.g., dashboards) for actionable insights Champion data governance, ensuring data quality, security, and accessibility Mentor stakeholders on leveraging our Data Ecosystem effectively Key Responsibilities: Assemble complex data sets to meet diverse business needs Automate processes and redesign infrastructure for scalability Collaborate across departments to address data challenges and drive innovative solutions Develop data ingestion frameworks and ensure high data quality standards Influence business processes with cutting-edge data strategies Qualifications & Experience: An appropriate Post-Graduate qualification (BSc, Engineering or similar). Relevant programming qualifications and / or certifications Relevant Agile certification is preferable 10 - 12 years experience in a Data Engineering role building and optimizing data pipelines, architectures and data sets Constructing data acquisition, warehousing and reporting solutions Advanced working SQL knowledge and 5 years experience working with relational databases, query authoring (SQL) Experience with a variety of databases, technologies, languages and visualisation engines (Power BI, Tableau, SAS) 3-4 years experience building analytics tools that utilize the data pipeline to provide actionable insights into customer management, operational efficiency and other key business performance metrics Skills & Tools: Core: SQL, Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, Data Lakes, Data Modelling Technologies: OBIEE, Informatica, Teradata, Relational Databases Expertise: Data pipelines, Performance Metrics, Data Governance Competencies: Analytical problem-solving | Stellar communication | Stakeholder focus | Attention to detail | Drive for results
