About the role As the Creditors Clerk, you will be responsible for the capturing, posting and reconciliation of the creditors function as a support to the business as a whole.
More specifically, you will be responsible for:
Accounts Payable & Expense Invoices: You will be responsible for accurately capturing and posting vendor invoices within required deadlines, ensuring all invoices are valid and approved. You will also create vendors according to Procurement Policy guidelines and perform monthly reconciliations of significant vendor balances. Handling vendor queries with professionalism will be a key part of your role.
Procurement: In this role, you will implement and issue purchase orders as per Procurement Policy and support BBBEE reporting for procurement spend. You will ensure that the PO process is followed and request Service Completion Certificates where relevant.
Banking: You will assist with administrative banking tasks, including managing international payments and loading new beneficiaries and invoices for payment on the online banking portal. These tasks must be performed weekly and monthly while adhering to all finance internal controls.
General: Your responsibilities will include supporting the implementation and continuous improvement of internal controls, processes, and financial systems. You will prepare ad-hoc reports and analyses as required and assist with statutory and other audit requests.
