As a proactive leader, you will manage credit risk, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and develop tailored solutions to meet client needs while enhancing overall credit model performance and compliance.Key Responsibilities:Credit Model Development & Enhancement: Lead the design, development, and continuous improvement of credit models, scorecards, and analytics tools.Credit Automation & Decisioning: Drive automation initiatives to streamline the credit evaluation and approval processes. Approve credit applications within authorized mandate levels and implement responsible lending practices to minimize risk.Risk Management: Assess and manage credit risk for both new and existing client portfolios. Conduct thorough credit assessments to ensure high-quality asset acquisition.Client-Centric Solutions: Understand client needs and provide tailored credit solutions to support their financial goals, while maintaining strong client relationships and ensuring timely delivery of solutions.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Sales, Credit Committee, Finance, and Operations teams to optimize credit models for performance and compliance.Reporting & Analytics: Develop and maintain credit performance and risk reports, providing insights to senior management.Compliance & Regulatory Adherence: Ensure credit operations adhere to internal policies and regulatory standards. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices.Team Leadership & Development: Mentor junior credit analysts and assist in their development to ensure high-quality credit assessments.Skills and Experience:Education: Grade 12 (Matric) certificate.Qualifications: NQF Level 7 or higher in a Financial or Banking-related field (essential). CIMA, Credit Management qualification, or equivalent (advantageous).Experience: 2-5 years of experience in credit management, preferably within commercial finance.
