Cost Management Accountant

ResponsibilitiesPrepare and present monthly management accounts.Analyse financial performance and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.Implement and manage effective cost control measures to optimize expenses and improve profitability.Conduct thorough cost analysis and recommend cost-saving initiatives.Monitor and report on cost variances, identifying areas for improvement.Manage costs to maximize profitability.Prepare (monthly, quarterly and annual) cost forecasts.Prepare budgeting reports.Analyze and report profit margins.Assist in month-end and year-end closing. Requirements and skillsCIMA qualified (or in process) with relevant degree in Accounting/Finance.Proven experience in a Management Accounting / Cost Accounting / Similar role.Exceptional cost management skills.Excellent analytical skills and attention to detailStrong communication and presentation skills.Computer literacy, MS Excel in particular (VLOOKUPs and pivot tables)Proficient in the use of accounting software - XEROStrong business acumen and strategic thinking.Integrity and ability to handle confidential information.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.Ability to work independently and take initiative.Proactive and self-motivated.
