Responsibilities:- Ensure that contract strategies, tenders, contracts, and variations are in full compliance with the Department of Water and Sanitation project related policies and procedures.- Review contractors invoices and prepare progress payment certificates with cost control, costs, forecasts, and requests for extras.- Prepare responses to queries raised by the contractor.- Evaluate claims and be responsible for dispute resolution.- Responsible for internal reporting of all commercial and contractual issues.- Construction contract documentation compilation and procurement processes.- Ensuring that project timelines and deliverables are met.- Excellent technical writing skills, with good communication and time management skills.- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of statutory procedures and technical standards.- Ability to work independently, but also to function well in a team environment.- Self-motivation.- Good communication and inter-personal skills required to build and maintain client relations.- Ability to integrate and cooperate with other engineering and non-engineering disciplines.- Support core values of creativity, commitment and integrity.Requirements- MS OfficeQualifications & Experience:- Minimum B Eng/BSc Eng in Civil Engineering or BSc Quantity Surveying- Candidate must be registered as a PrEng or PrQS- Candidate should have a minimum of 10 years' experience in contract and agreement documentation preparation, management and administration in mega infrastructure projects (raw bulk water projects)- Candidate should have experience in the determination processes of variation orders, claims and disputes- Good knowledge and understanding of the General Conditions of Contract- Candidate must have at least the following experience in mega raw bulk water infrastructure projects:- Two (2x) raw bulk water projects, Contract value > R 500 million- One (1x) claims and dispute resolution of raw bulk water project, Contract value > R 500 million
