Container Specialist (Estimator)

A leading market player in the Freight and Container Transport industry seeks a meticulous and resourceful Container Specialist (Estimator) to manage the estimation, inspection, and servicing of approximately 4,000 containers per month. This role requires hands-on expertise in container inspection, problem-solving, and efficient coordination with service providers to ensure container compliance with client-specific requirements. Key Responsibilities: Inspection & Estimation: Conduct detailed inspections of containers to assess their suitability for various requirements, including refrigeration, air conditioning, dry environments, or leak prevention. Accurately estimate costs associated with repairs or modifications to ensure containers meet client specifications. Maintenance & Issue Resolution: Identify and document findings, including necessary repairs or adjustments required for container usability. Coordinate with relevant service providers to address identified issues, ensuring repairs are completed efficiently and cost-effectively. Compliance & Quality Assurance: Ensure all containers comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and client requirements. Maintain meticulous records of inspections, estimations, and repairs for auditing and reporting purposes. Stakeholder Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for internal teams and external service providers regarding container specifications and repairs. Develop and maintain strong working relationships with service providers to ensure prompt resolution of container issues. Why Join Us? Skills & Competencies: Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing container issues. Strong organizational skills to handle a high volume of container inspections and reports. Effective communication skills to liaise with service providers and internal teams. Technical aptitude to understand and assess container specifications. Qualifications: Relevant technical certification or diploma in logistics, supply chain, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory). Key Attributes: High attention to detail and accuracy in estimations. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Strong networking skills to identify and collaborate with reliable service providers.
