Our client is seeking an experienced Construction Manager/Agent to lead and oversee all phases of our construction projects.
In this role you will collaborate closely with EOC engineers and architects to ensure projects are completed efficiently on time and within budget.
The ideal candidate must have a proven track record in managing complex projects and a keen ability to align with the obeservatorys objectives and requirements.
Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with the EOC project design and build team to determine the specifications of the project.
Determine needed resources (manpower equipment and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations.
Plan all construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines will be met.
Ensure that the main contractor acquires equipment and material and monitor stocks to handle inadequacies timeously.
Supervise the work of the main contractor subcontractors contractor suppliers client nominated suppliers and give them guidance when needed.
Evaluate progress and prepare regular detailed reports to the Project Manager (client).
Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues to the Site Manager and Agent Requirements BEng/BSc or BTech Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field (property development construction management).
Professional Construction Manager registration with SACPCMP (Active registration)/Candidate Construction Manager registration with SACPCMP (Active registration).
515 years of experience in a similar role including Project Management for projects valued at R50 million or more with capability to integrate various disciplines during design and construction Indepth understanding of construction procedures and material and project management principles; Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards; Good knowledge of MS Office; Familiarity with construction/ project management software (Primavera P6); Outstanding communication and negotiation skills; Excellent organizational and timemanagement skills; A team player with leadership abilities.
BEng/BSc or B-Tech Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field (property development, construction management).
