Compliance Officer [Talent Pool]

ROLE PURPOSESupport to the Projects Compliance representative with regard to the following, in accordance with contractual obligations and the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Specification.MAIN OUTPUTSConduct Project Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) File audits, as well as Site audits and inspectionsAssist to ensure that registered vendors / suppliers / contractors adhere to Project Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) Plans.Verify Project Screening documents received from Project Managers and notify group OHS of high-risk projects.Assist with the compilation of documentation for OHS Minimum Requirements submissions to OHS for high-risk projects, and remediate findings after these submissions are reviewed by, and received back from group OHS.Assess and approve Project Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) Files and Safe Work Method Statements.Conduct audits to verify adherence to controls implemented for Project Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) Risk Assessments. Assist to ensure that all mechanisms, policies, and procedures relating to the Integrated Management System (IMS) are implemented that continual improvement, as well as the continual efficiency and effectiveness of the IMS is maintained.QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS / KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / EXPERIENCEThe Applicant must meet the following requirements:Matric (Senior Certificate)Valid SA Driver's LicensePlanning experience and understanding of business processes3 years experience in Contractor Management and Project Management (advantageous)Excellent knowledge of the IMS; Document Management System; ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, SAMTRAC or similarMicrosoft Office (Required), SAP Knowledge SharePoint Knowledge (added advantage)Knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental LegislationIMS (Integrated Management System)FUNDAMENTAL COMPETENCIESLeadership CompetenciesBusiness AcumenDecisivenessDisplay pursuit of excellenceMaintain confidentialityDetailed in acumenThinking CompetenciesEtiquette / Courtesy in BusinessPlanning & execution skillsProblem AnalysisDemonstrate independenceGood interpersonal skillsAbility to manage deadlines
