About the Role:
Mahumani Incorporated is seeking a skilled Commercial Attorney to join our dynamic team in Polokwane. If you have a flair for figures, a strong business acumen, and expertise in commercial and high court litigation, we want to hear from you!
To collect and recover municipal assessment rates and service charges and to provide a general litigation service.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Consulting and managing all corporate legal processes.
Contract drafting, revision, and management.
Legal service coordination.
Drafting and typing of all legal and other documents, correspondence, and reports as required by the client.
Consult and handle all corporate legal processes (e.g. intellectual property, mergers & acquisitions, financial/securities offerings, compliance issues, transactions, agreements, lawsuits, patents).
Billing and invoicing.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

LLB Admitted attorney/Practicing attorney/Right of appearance.
3-5 years Commercial law experience (*Must have).
2-3 years of Third-Party litigation experience (*Must have).
Strong understanding of relevant laws, regulations, and legal precedents.
AJS, Caseline, and Court Online knowledge (*Must have).
Must be fluent in English, Xitsonga, Sotho, and Zulu.

LEGAL RESEARCH AND ANALYSIS

Research, anticipate and guard the company against legal risks.
Guide managers and ensure compliance with rules and regulations.

DEVELOP AND RETAIN NEW BUSINESS

Attending Court.
Advise clients on all areas of commercial law.
Build trust with clients to foster long-lasting business relationships.
Lead merger processes and regulatory actions.
Provide legal support to clients and head of department.

Stable employment record and contactable references a must.
Willing to commit to a minimum of 2 years employment at the company.
