Code 14 Driver (Draw Bar Experience)

Responsibilities: Safely operate and drive a Code 14 truck with draw bar, ensuring compliance with all traffic and safety regulations.Transport bakery goods and materials to designated locations in a timely and efficient manner.Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on the vehicle, reporting any maintenance or safety issues to the appropriate authorities.Load and unload goods, ensuring proper handling and securing of bakery products during transit.Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including receipts and delivery logs.Communicate effectively with bakery staff to coordinate delivery schedules and address any logistical challenges.Adhere to company policies and procedures, including maintaining a clean and organized truck.Ensure the safe and efficient operation of the draw bar and other equipment associated with the vehicle.Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams to optimize delivery routes and schedules.Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients or receiving delivery instructions. Requirements: Valid Code 14 driver's license with a clean driving record.Must have Grade 12, Matric or NQF4 equivalent qualification.Must have clear criminal record.Proven experience as a Code 14 drawbar driver.Good understanding of traffic laws, safety regulations, and route planning.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work flexible hours and adapt to changing schedules.Basic maintenance knowledge for routine vehicle inspections.
