This position focuses on coordinating software releases, ensuring they are delivered on time, whilst meeting quality standards.
The role will involve working closely with development teams, business stakeholders, and I&T support teams.
Familiarity with Jira is essential, as it will be the primary tool used for tracking and managing release activities.
Minimum requirements Diploma/Degree in systems or business studies 1 to 3 years experience in project management or software release management Familiarity with software development and release cycles Experience using Jira for project or release management Basic understanding of POS systems or retail operations is advantageous Ability to work effectively within a team environment Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously Competencies Project Coordination: Ability to coordinate and manage tasks effectively to ensure successful software releases Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills to keep all stakeholders informed and engaged Team Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively with development, business, and I&T teams Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing release schedules and requirements Attention to Detail: Ensuring all aspects of the release process are managed meticulously Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with Jira and understanding of software release processes Problem-Solving: Ability to identify potential issues early and work with teams to resolve them Strong organisational and time management skills Coordinate and manage the software release process for the POS solution, ensuring timely and successful releases Collaborate with development teams to track progress and resolve any issues that may impact the release schedule Use Jira to manage release activities, including task assignment, tracking, and reporting Communicate with business stakeholders to ensure that release objectives are aligned with business needs Work closely with I&T support teams to ensure that releases are implemented smoothly, and any post-release issues are promptly addressed Maintain detailed documentation of the release process, including schedules, risks, and outcomes Assist in developing and refining release management processes and practices Monitor and report on the status of releases, providing regular updates to management Ensure that all releases comply with the organisation's quality and governance standards Support the post-release review process, helping to identify areas for improvement in future releases Administrative / Management  jobs
