Duties & ResponsibilitiesProper cleaning of toilets, equipment, offices, state property and assetsEnsure effective use of cleaning materials and equipment.Clean the Reception area and offices on a daily basis.Empty office dustbins daily and dispose of all refuse appropriately in the refuse bins for collection.Collect paper waste in the specially marked bins for collection by the Recycling CompanyCheck bathrooms twice a day and clean accordingly.Dust office furniture timeouslyVacuum all carpets at least twice per week.Clean windows on the inside at least quarterly on a rotational basisStore all cleaning equipment and products neatly in the designated cupboards on each floor.Provide assistance in the preparation of meetings in the boardroom.Ensure that all OHS act (Occupational Health and Safety) requirements are adhered to for site specific requirements in line with company policies, quality programmes and legislation.To maintain a high standard of morale and motivation through good communication skills.May be required to assist with any other duties that may be outside scope of responsibility.Skills and CompetenciesGood communication skills.Basic knowledge of general hygiene practicesKnowledge of facility layoutKnowledge of cleaning products and applicationsAbility to use a variety of cleaning equipment and products.Basic literacy and communication skillsUnderstanding of departmental policies and proceduresWillingness to extended hours including overtime, weekends and public holidays.Preference will be given to candidates from the local area where the office and/or position will be based.QualificationsGrade 11 minimum with proven experienceGrade 12 Certificate will be advantageous
