Civil Engineer / Technologist

Overview
Our client, a multi-disciplinary engineering company, is looking for a Civil Engineer or Technologist to join their team at the Umhlanga office.
Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in BSc Civ Eng / B Eng (Civils) or B Tech (Civil Eng)
Registered or in the process of registering as a Pr Eng or Pr Tech Eng with ECSA

Ideal Candidate Profile:

Strong leadership skills with a solid technical background
Minimum 5 years of technical experience, including 1-2 years in team leadership within a consulting engineering firm
Experience in infrastructure design, particularly roads, earthworks, stormwater, and sewer systems
Preferably experience in pump station design for sewer and water supply
Advantageous to have experience in municipal engineering, housing infrastructure, or industrial sectors
Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD Civil 3D (essential), and familiarity with IDAS
Knowledge of Hec-ras, GIS, PCSWMM, or similar tools is advantageous
Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
Attention to detail with accuracy in work
Confident with excellent interpersonal skills
Dynamic, driven, and humble attitude
Ability to remain even-tempered and work well within a team

Key Responsibilities:

Provide technical expertise on civil engineering projects
Design technology solutions
Manage complete project life cycles
Build and maintain client and stakeholder relationships
Implement project-specific controls
Mentor junior engineers

Other Details:
Must possess a valid driver's license and be willing to travel to sites within South Africa and Africa as needed.
