This role requires a professional who is technically proficient, able to manage projects independently, and possesses a strong understanding of the civil engineering aspects of construction.Key Responsibilities:Lead and manage civil engineering projects, focusing on structural and building construction.Oversee project planning, design, and implementation to ensure all civil engineering requirements are met.Ensure all work complies with relevant regulatory standards and codes, including SANS and OHS.Prepare detailed engineering designs, calculations, and project documentation.Coordinate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project completion.Supervise and mentor junior engineers, providing technical guidance and support.Manage budgets, resources, and project timelines to meet client expectations.Perform on-site inspections and evaluations to ensure compliance with design specifications and quality standards.Collaborate with clients to understand project requirements and deliver tailored engineering solutions.Ensure adherence to safety regulations and industry standards throughout the construction process.Requirements:Professional Qualification: Must be professionally qualified in Civil Engineering.Professional Registration: Must be registered with a relevant professional body such as ECSA (Engineering Council of South Africa) or SACPCMP (South African Council for the Project and Construction Management Professions).Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in civil engineering within the construction industry, specifically in structures and buildings.Strong knowledge of construction techniques, materials, and regulatory requirements.Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant engineering software.Demonstrated ability to lead projects and manage multiple stakeholders.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Additional Information:This is a contract position with market-related remuneration.
