Summary
Hire Resolve's Client are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Chief Safety Officer for their mining operations in North West. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing all safety measures and protocols to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. This individual will play a crucial role in promoting and maintaining a safe work environment for all employees.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement comprehensive safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and industry standards.Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and risks.Collaborate with department heads and employees to promote a culture of safety and responsibility.Monitor and analyze safety data and trends to identify areas for improvement.Provide training and resources to employees on safe work practices and procedures.Investigate and report on accidents and incidents, and implement corrective actions as necessary.Ensure that all safety equipment and gear are properly maintained and used according to guidelines.Coordinate with external agencies and stakeholders to stay abreast of industry best practices and regulations.Qualifications
National Diploma in Safety Management.Trade Certificate or a Blasting Certificate.Minimum of 5 years of experience in a safety management role in the mining industry.Excellent communication and leadership skills.Strong organizational and analytical abilities.Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.Experience with safety management software and tools.Benefits
