Employer DescriptionOur client is a South African based company that was established in 2005 supplying cost-effective engineering, design and project management services to the mining, minerals processing and related industriesJob DescriptionYou will be required to:Keep control of all documents/punching and hand overs given from stakeholdersWork in conjunction with the respective discipline engineering leads to expedite and resolve issues identified during inspectionsSet up and maintain Quality Control records tracking system in conjunction with theQuality personnel and ensure records of all inspections are maintained as well as non-compliant items Engineer any non-conformances detectedSet up and maintain Quality Control records tracking system in conjunction with the Quality personnel and ensure records of all inspections are maintained as well as non-compliant itemsPeriodic or progressive reviews of contractor data packs for completeness and acceptabilityLiaise with Project Quality Manager on developments on Quality Control related issuesFacilitate and coordinate Supplier pre- inspection meetings as per approved scheduleInternal & Supplier Inspection assessmentsMonitor the inspection performance and arrange for participation of the Client and EngineeringDepartment for specific inspections and testsResponsible for the full-time on-site earthworks and civils construction contractor supervision and quality control to ensure that civil scope schedule and quality requirements are met.QualificationsTertiary qual prefSkillsStrengths in earthworks and civils disciplines.Excellent technical and quality control skills requiredExcellent technical and quality control skills required5 years relevant civil construction supervision experience in mining projects with EPCM companiesBenefitsInclusive
