Buyer

Well known company in Rustenburg within the Building Construction industry requires the services of a Buyer.
The following job description is required in order to apply for this position, with previous working experience, with the below specs.
Suppliers / Subcontractors Liaison:
* To liaise regularly with Senior Buyer
* To phone chosen suppliers/sub-contractors within 5 days of receipt of tender documents
* Where innovative approaches are considered the Estimator, Buer and the supplier/sub-contractor meet face to face to go through all the detail when required
Prices are submitted:
* Buyer to follow up and ensure that due date for submissions is met
* Negotiate prices as to contain increases according to inflation
* Maximize trade and settlement discounts
* To ensure the products ordered by sites are delivered on time and in full
*To understand the unique site requirements and location by conduction a site visits as or when required
Admin Procedures:
* Typing of requisitions to be in format/details understood by supplier
* Filing to be done and under correct order
* Ensure daily basis that the orders have gone through
Confidentiality:
* Information with respect to any confidential material must not be disclosed until proper authorization from Senior Buyer
Signatures:
* Ensure approved signatures are obtained on the relevant documentation according to the delegation of authority
* Ensure that baying is conducted on a code of ethics
* Honestly
* Integrity
Standard Terms & Conditions of Purchase are Adhered to
* Ensure that the standard terms & Conditions of purchase are adhered to
* Any documentation to be agreed with Senior Buyer
