Purpose of the Role:The Accountant will be responsible for managing financial records, analysing financial data, and ensuring the company's financial health.
The ideal candidate will possess strong Excel skills, an accounting qualification, and the ability to work under pressure, especially when interacting with senior executives.
The role will include the month-end processing for various companies and provide business analytical insights across subsidiaries.
Key Responsibilities: Prepare and maintain financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.Perform monthly reconciliations and financial reporting.Analyse financial data and provide insights and recommendations to management across subsidiaries.Manage accounts payable and receivable functions.Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards.Prepare for and assist with audits, both internal and external.Provide quick, accurate responses to executive queries, including ad-hoc financial reporting.Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes.Support month-end and year-end close processes.Performing other related duties, as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field (CA qualification is not required but would be advantageous).Advanced Excel skills, including complex formulas, pivot tables and data analysis tools.A minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience in a fast-paced environment.Experience with accounting software (e.g.
SAP, QuickBooks, Xero, etc.)
is advantageous.Ability to think quickly, problem solve and interact effectively with executives under pressure.Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate complex financial concepts to non-financial personnel.Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
