My client is a dynamic and innovative financial technology company specializing in providing cutting-edge solutions to retailers and related establishments within the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) and Small, Medium, and Micro Enterprises (SMME) sectors.
Their products are designed to streamline financial processes, enhance efficiency, and drive growth for our clients.
They are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Consultant to join their team.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in business development within the FMCG and SMME environments, with a strong existing network.
You will be responsible for selling our suite of financial technology products to retailers and related establishments.
Key Responsibilities: Leverage your existing network to identify and engage potential clients within the FMCG and SMME sectors.
Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve individual and company-wide sales targets.
Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships.
Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and industry trends.
Provide product demonstrations and presentations to potential clients.
Negotiate and close deals, ensuring client satisfaction and retention.
Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional strategies and materials.
Provide regular reports on sales activities, forecasts, and customer feedback.
Stay informed about our product updates and industry advancements to effectively communicate the value proposition to clients.
Qualifications: Proven experience in business development, with a focus on selling financial technology solutions or similar products.
Existing network within the FMCG and SMME environments.
Possession of own vehicle for business travel (fuel reimbursement provided).
Excellent business communication skills, both written and verbal.
Professional and presentable demeanor.
No current restraint of trade in place.
Clear credit record (preferable).
Ability to travel and work flexible hours as required.
Compensation: Competitive basic salary.
Commission structure based on sales performance.
Airtime allowance for business communication.
Fuel reimbursement for business-related travel.
