RPO Recruitment's client, an international producer of fertilizers, is currently looking for a Bookkeeper to join their team of professionals in Paarl. In this position, you will be responsible for a wide range of bookkeeping tasks, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, treasury management, inventory costing, and assisting with basic accounting functions.Responsibilities:Accounts Receivable:Process customer invoices and assign paymentsManage customer accounts and track outstanding balancesPerform collections activities to ensure timely paymentsAccounts Payable:Process vendor invoices and assign paymentsMaintain accurate records of accounts payableReconcile accounts payable statementsTreasury Management:Manage company bank accounts and monitor cash flowPrepare and disburse paymentsReconcile bank statementsInventory Costing:Maintain accurate inventory recordsAssist with calculating inventory costs and assigning costs to inventoryBasic Accounting:Assist with recording daily financial transactionsPrepare basic financial reports (e.g., general ledger, trial balance)Close out accounting periods (monthly, quarterly, annually)Requirements:Minimum of 5 years of bookkeeping experienceProficient in bookkeeping software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero), Business Central is preferableStrong understanding of accounting principles (debits & credits, double-entry bookkeeping)Excellent attention to detail and accuracyStrong organizational and time management skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsExperience with inventory costing methods (FIFO, LIFO, etc.)Knowledge of South African VAT regulationsExperience in a similar industry a plusBenefits:Salary R220 000 - R240 000Apply for this role today by contacting Keegan Wolhuter at RPO Recruitment.You can also visit the RPO Recruitment website: rporecruitment.us or email us your CV: ****** will contact you telephonically in 3 days should you be suitable for this vacancy.
