Billings Clerk, East London

We are seeking a Billings Clerk for a permanent role based in East London, Eastern Cape. Applicants are required to meet the following criteria: Grade 12 with a nursing qualification preferred.Previous experience in a billing department essential.Private healthcare industry knowledge and understanding of medical scheme rules and regulations.ICD10 coding experience.Knowledge of hospital information systems.General computer literacy.The successful applicant would be responsible for, but not limited to: ICD 10 codes, CPT codes, and all medical aid tariffs and billing rules.Closure/release of discharged patient accounts.Receiving discharged files and ensuring what is billed is in agreement with contractual agreements.Final audit of all patient accounts prior to release.Monitor release system.Check that equipment and procedure types are billed.Salary: Market related.
