The Role
What is the role?
We are on a mission to find an Assistant Manager (Assistant Cloud Manager) to join our ever-growing team in our Cape Town office. They will be responsible for helping a manager with a team of cloud accountants oversee their clients and all their accounting requirements.
This role will be ideal for an individual who completed their 3 year articles and is currently in their 1st or 2nd year post articles.
What you will be exposed to:

Monthly accounting and processing for SMEs.
Payroll processing via Simple Pay.
Legislative processing (i.e All SARS types of returns - VAT, PAYE, ITR)
Engaging with clients and solving accounting problems.
Provisional Tax calculations and discussions with clients.
Communicating with clients on accounting needs and processing. Building strong client relationships.
Adhoc accounting project work, queries and advice as requested from clients.
Managing a team and providing financial management support to SMEs.

What do you need to have?

Be someone who wants to learn and is willing to take on new challenges. This will suit someone who enjoys the idea of working with Startups and Small businesses.
Someone who wants to learn and grow and has a good knowledge of working on computers and the ability to learn various software packages.
Degree/Honors Degree in Management Accounting or Accounting.
You are on track to attain your CA (SA), CGMA, or Professional Accountant (SA), with completed articles.
Experience in cloud-based systems such as XERO, Dext/Hubdoc, SimplePay, Dear Systems, Vend.
Experience in drafting Annual Financial Statements on CaseWare or DraftWorx.
Experience in a client-facing role.
Experience in filing provisional tax and income tax returns (Companies and Individuals).
1+ years experience in managing people.
