Our client is looking for an experienced Antenna and RF Design Engineer to join their Product Development team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing antenna and RF circuits, working from conceptual stages to the final product.
This role also involves close interaction with clients and project management, ensuring seamless integration of design and development tasks.
This position requires a dynamic and innovative engineer with a passion for antenna and RF design.
The successful candidate will possess both technical expertise and strong project management abilities to ensure the successful completion of projects.
Responsibilities:Antenna Product Development (40%)Conceptualize antenna designs.Build and test prototypes.Optimize and finalize designs.Perform final electrical testing and antenna measurements.Troubleshoot and resolve design issues.RF Product Development (10%)Design RF circuits, including filters, switches, and amplifiers.Create detailed RF design documentation.Test and qualify RF designs.Source specific RF components as needed.Technical Lead Role (20%)Lead projects from concept to completion.Assist in proposal development and technical communication with clients.Break down deliverables into manageable tasks for the team.Ensure that designs meet customer requirements and project scope.Maintain up-to-date technical documentation and manage project budgets.Monitor and report on technical risks and issues.Project and Support Task Execution (10%)Plan and execute work packages within brief, budget, and time.Take ownership of projects and tasks.Reporting and Writing (10%)Draft manuals and assembly instructions.Write technical reports, test plans, and test reports.Prepare design review documentation and presentations.Systems and Processes (10%)Understand and support internal systems and processes, including project management and health & safety requirements.Suggest improvements to current systems where applicable.Key Skills:Proficiency in antenna/RF circuit design.Hands-on skills in prototype fabrication, electronics systems, and soldering.Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.Strong oral and written communication abilities.High levels of initiative and the ability to work independently.Flexibility and assertiveness in managing tasks under pressure.Competency in using numerical computing tools like Matlab or Python.Experience with electromagnetic simulation software (e.g., FEKO, CST, HFSS) is an advantage.Good administration, planning, and organizational skills.Strong understanding of electromagnetic theory, physics, and mathematics.At least 3 years of relevant experience in an electronics-related field, with specific focus on electromagnetics or microwave/RF engineering.Experience in high-frequency spiral development is a plus.Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word (Intermediate level).Fluency in English.Qualifications:Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering.A Master's or PhD in Electromagnetics is advantageous.
