Agronomy Area Manager - Seed

Minimum requirements for the role:Must have an Honours/Masters degree in Agronomy\ Soil Science \ Plant ProductionMinimum 5 years relevant Agronomy experienceKnowledge of compilation of fertilizer programs is essentialKnowledge and experience of onions is advantageousMust be fluent in English and Afrikaans, with good interpersonal and communication skillsThe successful candidate will be responsible for:Preparing and coordinating varietal screening trials in multiple crops, including but not exclusively onions.Handling complaints and supplying support and feedback to the Sales team in this regard.Providing weekly feedback to the Managing Director.Coordinating and providing product training.Presenting and assisting at farmers' days and agricultural expos.Interpreting data from various trials.Writing articles for newsletters, magazines, and marketing materials.Visiting farmers with the Production Advisors.Managing and evaluating commercial trials.Offering technical support to Production Advisors, Area Managers, and Farmers.Please note that subsequent to the screening and shortlisting process, all further communication will be entered into, only with the shortlisted candidates
