Accountant

Company based in Silvertondale, Pretoria, is looking to employ a qualified Accountant.
We are seeking a detail orientated and proactive Accountant to handle the full accounting function of our logistics and export company. The ideal candidate will manage a range of accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance in all financial processes.
Candidate may be required to travel to Mozambique for auditing requirements (+/- 2 times a year).
Duties and responsibilities include but not limited to:

Processing and balancing of multi-currency transaction accounts,
Full Debtors and Creditors function: Matching and processing of invoices, credit notes, payment allocations, reconciliations and queries, collections and credit & vendor applications
Petty Cash
Cashbook to trail balance
Assisting with monthly management statements
General administration and filing
Control accounts and general ledger reconciliations
Full payroll function including bi-annual EMP501 reconciliations – (Easyfile experience is essential)
VAT201 return calculation and submission
Communicating with SARS regarding any tax matters that may arise
Support the annual Health and Safety Audit

Desired Experience & Qualification

B.Com Accounting/BAccounting Degree
Requires 2 years' accounting experience
Sage One Accounting experience essential
Sage Payroll experience essential
Excellent proficiency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and Outlook
Dropbox and TeamViewer experience
Ability to handle numerous tasks within a highly pressurized environment
Prepared to work late when expected. Flexible working hours negotiable
Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills
It is preferred that the applicant resides in the eastern suburbs of Pretoria
Valid driver's license and own transport

Remuneration negotiable / market related depending on qualification and experience.
