Account Manager

Introduction

A dynamic, technology-driven accounting firm based in Faerie Glen (Pretoria East) is seeking an Account Manager to join their team. This is a great opportunity for an experienced and ambitious professional to become part of a practice with excellent growth potential.

Job purpose

The Account Manager will be responsible for managing a client portfolio consisting of individual taxpayers, companies, close corporations, and trusts for which we provide turnkey services. The candidate should preferably be a SAIPA member with the intention of a long-term commitment.

Minimum education (desirable)
BCom Degree

Minimum applicable experience (required)
3-5 years' experience

Required nature of experience (desirable)
AGA(SA) / SAIPA / CIMA member
Experience with Xero/Simplepay/Draftworx/e-filing
Strong competency in a highly technological cloud-based environment

Key Responsibilities
Resource planning with regards to deadlines, new client on-boarding
Information gathering (bank statements; third party supporting documents)
Perform monthly bookkeeping, management accounts and payroll for clients
Preparing annual financial statements for said clients mostly IFRS for SME
Responsible for calculating VAT, PAYE and other necessary SARS requirements on a monthly basis
Ensuring client regulatory compliance with CIPC / DoL / SARS
Strong technical inclination with regards to accounting and tax principals
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by staying up to date on latest tax developments
Maintain excellent client relationships
