If you're passionate about making a difference, your journey starts here.What are we looking for?We are looking for someone with the following experience, qualifications and/or skillsets:An appropriate academic and professional qualification from a recognised tertiary institution.At least five years' experience as an FET Phase Head.Current SACE registration.NSC and CAPS experience.A clear criminal record.The responsibilities are:Working together with the executive head and school leadership to ensure high standards of teaching and learning practice.Performing the duties of a teacher and phase head.Promoting a healthy process of reciprocal informal observation of class teaching practices.Advising and contributing to curriculum development at school.Coordinating the teaching and learning of the phase.Setting examination papers, coordinating marking rosters and moderating examinations and assessment processes.Mentoring other teachers in the phase.Holding and leading regular departmental meetings and ensuring the keeping of minutes.Actively assisting the executive head in ensuring good professional practice, standards, and quality of teaching and learning of subject/s in the school through proper dialogue with the class teachers.Personal commitment to education and a willingness to contribute to the values and ethos of the school.The successful candidate will start as soon as possible.Curro is an equal-opportunity employer, and therefore preference will be given to EE candidates.Due to the high volume of applications, only shortlisted candidates will be communicated with.Curro reserves the right not to make an appointment.NB: Please remember and take note before applying that this is a Permanent position.
